Our critical goal is one million fewer fractures – and our gift to you is important to us. We want you to succeed and we want to help. OSTEGO is helping lots of people around the world and we hope you are next!

Hi! I’m Mary. I’ve spent more than two decades of my career helping companies around the world devise easier ways to explain new or complicated concepts, products and services to their customers. As a business coach and consultant, I’ve helped big companies like Uber and fledgling startups. You’ve seen me on CNN, FOX, and CNBC.

I’m a 15 year yoga practitioner and I’m careful about my health. Like many, I’ve been frustrated by the inability to easily track my progress from checkup to checkup or to have my complete records follow me when in need of specialized care. So I developed some forms to help myself keep track. Then a friend expressed her frustration and I shared them with her. And then another. It seemed like everyone had the same concerns – lack of continuity and difficulty having a real understanding of how the current state of one’s health and a new supplement or prescription might affect the future.

This all really hit home when my mother (age 75) hurt her back. What began as a slipped disk quickly deteriorated into multiple fractured vertebra (right? A broken back.). She asked me to dial in to a couple of calls with spine specialists and her primary care physician and it became clear that she didn’t have a good enough grasp of the situation and that it was very difficult to keep track of and pass along information about her current and previous diagnosis. Sadly, I know my family is not alone.

So I decided to create and curate a site where people can learn more easily, find effective tools, and support each other so that they are better prepared to ask important questions of their health professionals.

We are not doctors. We are fitness and communications experts and we work with doctors and experts to write and make sure the details are concise and accurate. We also provide lighter content – fun stuff and stories and recipes that will help people in our community understand that they are not alone as they are learning.

Information is vital to good health. But information is worthless if it’s not presented in a way that people can understand it. Don’t you agree?

We hope you’ll join OSTEGO so much we’ve made a free starter version. Your bone health matters.
